Info: The Big issue is a magazine sold by homeless and vulnerably housed people in order to earn a legitimate income. Homeless people can present at the Wintercomfort Day centre at 11am Mon to Fri for induction. All vendors sign and agree to a code of conduct regarding their behaviour whilst selling the magazine. All new vendors are given 5 papers free to start off, after which papers are bought at 70p each and sold to the public at £1.50. Vendors are allocated a pitch to sell from and given some basic sales training where required.

Info: FLACK is a charitable social enterprise producing a monthly magazine for Cambridge and involving homeless people in ALL aspects of what we do. FLACK offers training and access to IT resources to support homeless people in making a contribution. We keep a record of your achievements and contributions and will provide references for job applications. The FLACK Editorial group meets every wednesday at 1pm and you are welcome to drop by to share lunch with us and find out more about how you can get involved.
