In partnership with Wintercomfort for the homeless and Jimmy’s Nightshelter, Cambridge Link-Up organised an election hustings during the recent election so that homeless people could ask the candidates about their party’s election policies. The candidates for all the major parties attended: Labour, Lib Dem, Conservative, Green Party, UKIP and the Cambridge Socialists. The event was timed to be before the deadline to register and Link-Up ran a poster campaign to encourage homeless people to use their right to vote.
